Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For a client of ours, we are currently looking for a System Engineer in Zürich.
Your Role:
* You will be responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of the client’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and virtualization platforms
* Collaborating with IT architects and project managers to implement secure and scalable systems solutions
* You will monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability
* Take a leading role in automating repetitive tasks and improving system deployment processes
* You will support backup and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing
* Maintain system documentation and provide technical guidance and support to internal teams
Your Profile:
* A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, with 3–6 years of experience in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and networking concepts
* Experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)
* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus
* Experience with system monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Fluency in German and English
