Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to Business Manager – Commercial & Operations and the Head of Product Support. Working in the Energy Industries division, based in Eastern Europe with optional worldwide scope, you will cooperate with international teams to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction in our worldwide applied solutions for electrical power generation.
Work model: Hybrid.
Responsibilities
* Own product lifecycle management and continuous improvement, leading feasibility studies and managing global product changes (HW/SW/BOM, tools, documentation, etc.).
* Contribute to cost optimization, standardization, and continuous product enhancement in close collaboration with Product Management and R&D.
* Drive product quality and technical excellence by analyzing and resolving complex issues across a broad product portfolio, engaging directly with customers and performing remote diagnostics, leading root cause analysis (RCA), and ensuring sustainable corrective actions.
* Act as a global technical authority, providing expert support to ABB teams and business partners worldwide, supporting project‑specific adaptations, reviewing engineered solutions, and guiding standardization decisions aligned with long‑term product strategy.
* Strengthen knowledge sharing and team capabilities by capturing learnings from support cases, translating them into structured knowledge documentation, coaching support line specialists, and contributing to building strong global lifecycle support expertise.
Qualifications
* Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in field service or engineering with Power Generation System knowledge, Embedded Software and Control Hardware, and Power Electronics (experience with excitation systems required).
* Fluency in English; other languages such as German, French, or Spanish are an asset.
* Intrinsic attitude to drive innovation and improvement.
* Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* High sense of responsibility and commitment.
* High degree of intercultural awareness.
