Associate Director, AI Enterprise Security Architecture

This is a temporary contractor opportunity with Magnit Global, offering flexibility while contributing to Novartis.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee AI architectural activities for a specific business or technology domain, and manage the development of solution architectures for projects or programs within a business area.
* Define AI security standards and direction of architecture in the specific business or technical domain, and establish best practices for protecting AI pipelines, datasets, and models.
* Define and develop the logical architectural design and strategies necessary to secure the organization’s AI domain and infrastructure.
* Utilize architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic AI solution security architecture design.
* Define, create and evolve the Architecture Governance Framework (e.g. architecture methods, practices and standards) for AI.
* Advocate principles of business and IT strategies and lead communication, marketing, and educational activities to ensure Enterprise Architecture success.
* Assess the organization’s AI landscape, identifying potential vulnerabilities or weaknesses; evaluate risks associated with training, deployment, and operation of AI models; keep up‑to‑date with security threats and best practices; and evaluate and select security tools.
* Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into AI platforms and LLM processes, embedding security into the AI development lifecycle and supporting other engineering teams.
* Regularly report on the status of AI security measures to senior management and stakeholders.
* Secure AI systems from development through deployment, ensuring training data security and monitoring deployed models for threats.
Essential Requirements
* University degree in business, technical area, or comparable education/experience.
* 15+ years of working experience in the security domain; minimum 5 years in an architecture capacity.
* 2+ years of experience in AI security, with expertise in AI security products such as Cranium, Noma, JFrog X‑Ray, HiddenLayer, Darktrace.
* Demonstrated AI security architecture conceptual skills, solutions delivery, and decision making across development to deployment, including model monitoring.
* Prior experience in AI security policy, standards, guidelines, and patterns definition.
* In‑depth understanding of the AI security domain, including AI threats and mitigating malicious uses of AI, AI risk identification.
* Experience building defenses against AI‑based attacks and enforcing data privacy protocols.
* Expertise in security design evaluations and threat modeling for AI/ML applications on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
* Experience reporting to senior level management and excellent communication skills.
* Proven ability to initiate and manage projects affecting multiple divisions, with strong decision‑making and delivery focus.
* Experience leading technical teams in a multi‑vendor, global environment.
