Gazella is currently recruiting a Finance Manager to EF Education First for their office in Zürich, Switzerland. In this role, you will work closely with teams and stakeholders across several countries in a broad finance position focused on accounting, reporting, compliance, and supporting the business.
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for making sure accounting records and financial reporting are accurate and completed on time. You will handle areas such as audits, tax, regulatory reporting, and financial controls, while also supporting the business in financial and accounting-related matters.
You will work closely with shared service centers, business process owners, and finance teams across different countries, while having overall responsibility for the legal entities. The role offers a wide range of responsibilities and close collaboration with several functions within the organization.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, intercompany transactions, as well as cash and treasury-related activities. You will also be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and review financial results by identifying variances, risks, and other key financial matters.
The role also includes forecasting and follow-up of financial performance, as well as supporting stakeholders with financial insights and reporting. In addition, you will work with internal controls, compliance, and risk-related matters connected to accounting and reporting.
You will coordinate audits, oversee tax and VAT reporting, and collaborate with both advisors and internal finance teams to ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies. As a finance partner to the business, you will support stakeholders in financial matters and help prevent accounting or compliance-related issues.
The role also involves supporting improvements in reporting processes and ways of working together with shared service centers and global finance teams.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has at least 7 years of experience
* Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar
* Has strong analytical and organizational skills
* Is proactive, structured, and solution-oriented
* Feels comfortable working in an international and fast-paced environment
Experience from Big 4, professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA, and experience with Oracle Fusion are considered an advantage.
