As an Automation Engineer (m/f/d), reporting to our Automation Team Lead, based in Vernier, you will respond to project requests for the Vernier site. You will participate in projects and maintenance activities to improve production processes and act as an automation expert.

In this role, you will:
* Establish functional specifications and technical documentation, and implement automated systems for production installations according to specifications;
* Participate in new installation projects;
* Estimate costs and durations for studies and work;
* Coordinate with relevant services;
* Propose automation solutions and liaise with external service providers;
* Oversee external companies' work related to automation;
* Support long-term maintenance issues;
* Program control systems collaboratively with other services;
* Lead continuous improvement projects;
* Standardize processes and update related standards;
* Monitor technological advancements and lead working groups;
* Apply quality procedures and departmental standards;
* Participate in training sessions;
* Solve problems using standard or modified procedures;
* Enhance process agility to improve customer service.
About you:

Your profile includes:
* University degree in Engineering or Chemical Engineering;
* 6 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a chemical environment;
* Experience managing modernization projects for industrial buildings and infrastructure;
* Hands-on experience with revamping projects in production or industrial settings is highly desirable;
* Knowledge of PLC and DCS systems (DeltaV, Siemens Step 7 Pro, TIA Portal, WinCC, Citect SCADA);
* Knowledge of SQL and VB.net;
* Knowledge of SIS and batch software suites (DeltaV, Aveva, or others) is a plus;
* Fluent in French and English;
* Proactive attitude towards change and continuous improvement.
