Overview Temporary Opportunity: Graphic Designer & Digital Print Technician
Location: Geneva | Start Date: October 13 | Duration: 1 month (extension possible)
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected international institution for a skilled Graphic Designer and Print Production Specialist to support their communications and publications team. This is a short-term contract role offering hands-on involvement in both digital design and print production tasks.
Your Role In this multifaceted position, you’ll handle a range of design and production responsibilities, from preparing multilingual publications to managing professional-grade print equipment. You\'ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality printed materials are delivered on time and to standard.
Key Responsibilities Adapt and format documents into various languages (Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, Chinese) using the English source files as reference
Edit and update InDesign layouts after proofreading, ensuring files are ready for professional output
Receive and prioritize printing requests; clarify requirements, create proofs, and ensure final outputs are delivered on schedule
Set up print jobs on digital presses, adjusting settings such as ink levels, paper formats, and quality parameters
Operate finishing equipment, including cutting, folding, binding (coil, spiral), laminating, and perforating
Conduct routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting; escalate ongoing technical issues when needed
Monitor stock of consumables like toner, paper, and binding materials; keep accurate records of inventory and completed jobs
Maintain detailed documentation for all production activity and adhere to internal quality control processes
Support other related print and design tasks as assigned
Your Background Secondary education, ideally with a diploma or training in graphic design or print production
Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital printing and operating finishing equipment
Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Photoshop)
Familiarity with prepress processes and file preparation for high-volume printing
Fluent in English or French, with working knowledge of the other language; additional languages a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong time management and organizational skills with a sharp eye for detail
Technically minded with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and maintenance
Team player with excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multilingual environment with shifting priorities
