Powercoders is a non-profit organisation founded 8 years ago in Bern, Switzerland, with the mission to promote equal opportunities for diverse talents in the IT industry. One of our key initiatives is Futurecoders, a program to spark digital interest and improve career opportunities for young people with a refugee background or from low-income environments. We run our programs across Switzerland.
We are looking for a :
Futurecoders Course Coordinator and Candidate Recruitment (40%)
Your role :
Your role will be to organise digital skills training courses with partner organisations across Switzerland, giving underprivileged youth the opportunity to learn programming and essential skills for their future. Comfortable engaging with teenagers, you will coordinate the entire process, from outreach and participant management to overseeing the smooth delivery of programmes in multiple locations nationwide.
Your responsibilities :
* Plan, coordinate and manage all Futurecoders courses and camps across D-CH and F-CH
* Maintain partnerships and handle contracts, logistics, and expectations
* Manage the complete candidate journey from outreach to confirmation, communicating clearly and supportively with candidates, parents, and partners
What we are looking for :
* Good communication skills in both French and German as well as in English
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, this role involves many cities, venues, course types, applications, confirmations, and diplomas; attention to detail is important
* Passionate about empowering young people and making a meaningful impact on their future
