Seeking an accomplished Global Equity Trader to originate and manage cash equity orders for professional wealth management clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equity markets, trading patterns, and single stock investments.
Main Responsibilities:
* Originate and manage global cash equity orders
* Build strong relationships with clients to grow the book and drive business
* Execute trades efficiently while ensuring best execution standards
* Advise clients on execution, flows, liquidity, and market structure to add value
* Edit and distribute daily newsletters, themes, and tactical ideas using UBS's Equity franchise
* Promote UBS Research and CIO content, positioning the desk as a key equity insight hub
* Represent the desk in client meetings and investment forums to showcase capabilities
* Identify cross-selling opportunities across UGM and Investment Bank solutions
* Collaborate with traders, support teams, and global desks across the Investment Bank
* Monitor risk and contribute to desk P&L oversight with accountability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Master/Bachelor/FH degree
* Initial experience in equity execution or sales trading, staying solid under pressure
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
* Ability to communicate trading ideas clearly
* Work style that embodies accuracy, diligence, and a focus on details in a sometimes hectic environment
* High sense of responsibility and consciousness of risks
* Passionate about equity markets, trading patterns, and single stock investments
* Client-focused with a strong service and solution mentality
* Willing to expand knowledge
* Able to digest and filter large amounts of information
* Highly motivated team player with excellent persuasive skills
* Fluent in German or French and English, both written and spoken, any other languages are a plus
