TITLE Senior Legal Counsel, Legal & Compliance START DATE Immediate DURATION 3 – 4 months, with the possibility of extension UTILIZATION 100% LOCATION(S) Lausanne, Switzerland (Hybrid) AREA Legal & Compliance THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a global biopharmaceutical company in Switzerland. The Senior Legal Counsel will report to the Executive Legal Director and will be responsible for overseeing contract management, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating legal risks, and supporting business operations in an international environment. Fluency in English is essential for this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Structure, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements across the organization Develop, standardize, and improve contract templates and playbooks Manage the full contract lifecycle, including oversight of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system Lead and coordinate compliance initiatives, including public company requirements, data protection, cybersecurity, ESG reporting, and healthcare regulatory obligations Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for various stages of clinical development, including clinical trial agreements, Contract Research Organization agreements, and other trial-related documents Negotiate agreements with third parties, such as research organizations Contribute to and lead cross-functional corporate projects as required YOUR PROFILE Master’s degree in law Minimum 5 years in a legal and compliance role within an international and fast-paced environment, ideally in the life sciences industry. Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.
