Ph3Procurement - IT Category Sourcing Manager /h3ulliFull-time /liliBusiness Group: DCS /liliLegal Entity: AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited /liliBusiness Line: Geography OH /liliWork Location Model: Hybrid /liliOperating Group: Group Support /li /ulh3Role responsibilities /h3ulliLead end-to-end global, multi-region strategic sourcing projects across IT categories (including software, hardware, services, and licensing) /liliSupport the development and execution of IT category strategies aligned with business objectives /liliConduct market analysis, demand assessment, spend analysis and supplier evaluation to identify sourcing opportunities /liliDeliver measurable cost savings, value creation, and service improvements /liliLead tender processes (RFx), supplier negotiations, and contract development for complex IT deals /liliProvide commercial guidance to stakeholders throughout the sourcing lifecycle /liliEnsure robust contractual structures, pricing models, and risk mitigation strategies /li /ulh3Stakeholder Engagement /h3ulliPartner closely with IT leadership and key business stakeholders to understand requirements and align sourcing initiatives /liliAct as a trusted commercial advisor on strategic procurement decisions /liliInfluence senior stakeholders to drive adoption of sourcing strategies and governance /liliAdvise stakeholders on best practice sourcing strategies, considering the complexity of requirements and timescales to deliver an agile procurement support approach /liliSupport IT stakeholders to deliver strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) where necessary, including performance tracking and governance frameworks /liliProcurement Operations Governance /liliLeverage procurement technology and spend analytics to identify opportunities and inform decision-making /liliSupport procurement compliance, policy adherence, and P2P adoption (e.g., purchase orders, catalogues) /liliCollaborate with operational procurement teams to ensure effective handoff of lower-value or transactional IT spend /li /ulh3Continuous Improvement Capability Building /h3ulliContribute to process improvement initiatives and the evolution of procurement best practices /liliSupport change management and adoption of category strategies /liliShare knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team capability /liliSignificant experience in strategic IT sourcing and category management within a global environment /liliProven track record in leading complex sourcing projects and negotiating enterprise-level IT contracts /liliStrong knowledge of IT procurement categories (e.g., software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, services) /liliExpertise in strategic sourcing methodologies, RFx processes, and contract development, including working autonomously to lead competitive sourcing RFx projects and supporting contract drafting /liliDemonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed, international organisation /liliAbility to communicate with impact and influence senior stakeholders and Executive Leadership Teams (ELT) /liliStrong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and financial modelling skills /liliExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills /li /ulh3Technical Tools /h3ulliExperience with eProcurement systems (e.g., P2P platforms, eSourcing tools, catalogues) /liliStrong proficiency in spend analytics and data-driven sourcing /liliAdvanced skills in Excel and data analysis tools /liliFamiliarity with tools such as Coupa and Power BI (preferred) /liliExperience in savings calculations, forecasting and recording /li /ulh3Preferred Experience /h3ulliExperience within a professional services, consulting, or infrastructure-led organisation /liliUnderstanding of construction, infrastructure, or transport sectors /liliExperience working across global, cross-cultural teams /liliExperience in collaborating and coordinating with adjacent operational procurement teams to ensure less strategic/lowervalue/lower risk spend can be supported under separate ‘guided-buy’ channels, maintaining capacity in the strategic channel for the spend that matters most /liliKnowledge of Coupa and PowerBI would be an advantage /liliHighly numerate with excellent analytical skills including advanced MS Excel skills /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliDegree in commercial, economics, business, or engineering /liliNationally recognized professional certification (e.g., Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or Certified Purchasing Manager or equivalent professional procurement and supply chain qualification) /li /ulpNote: At AECOM, compliance information and onboarding requirements are included in the role description and standard recruitment process.
