Senior Quantitative Specialist
About This Role
We are seeking a Senior Quantitative Specialist to join our Model Risk team in Group Risk Management. This role involves the independent validation of Zurich Group's most material models.
This is a full-time position that provides opportunities for professional growth within our organization. You will not only validate models but also contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of our model risk management practices.
This role requires strong statistical, modeling, and programming skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
* Lead or contribute to the validation of the most material non-insurance models of the Group, including market risk, credit risk, and aggregation modules for the Group Internal Model, liquidity risk model.
* Produce the validation test plan covering relevant model aspects.
* Develop or maintain validation tools.
* Execute on the test plan, identifying and assessing strengths and weaknesses of models, providing an overall independent validation opinion.
* Document tests outcome, produce validation reports, and present conclusions to Senior Management and relevant committees.
* Interact and cooperate with key stakeholders in the validation process, supporting colleagues in their model validation activities, and in the maintenance of the model risk governance.
What We're Looking For
* A Master's degree (or equivalent), PhD preferred in a quantitative discipline; Actuarial qualification is a plus.
* 7 years or more of relevant work experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry, a consulting firm, or a financial institution; validation experience is a plus.
* Strong statistical, modeling, and programming skills.
* Effective communication; fluent English, both oral and written.
