The opportunity
Join our Next Generation Grids Transformers team in Geneva and shape the future of energy. As an R&D Electrical Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge transformer technologies in a dynamic, international environment.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team, contributing to the full R&D lifecycle—from concept to testing and product launch, ensuring that our solutions meet both technical specifications and market demands. This role offers hands-on experience, technical growth, and the chance to make a real impact in.
How you will make an impact
1. Apply your knowledge of electromagnetism to support innovative concepts’ validation through simulations
2. Tackle a variety of engineering challenges on Medium Frequency Transformers
3. Contribute to the development of new features in our internal design tools
4. Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products in collaboration with global teams
5. Align your work with our strategic technology roadmap
6. Take ownership of work packages and deliver results using a structured approach
7. Deepen your understanding of transformer technologies and support internal consulting to optimize your R&D activities
8. Contribute to intellectual property and risk management activities in R&D
Your background
9. MSc or PhD in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, ideally with experience in R&D within a business environment
10. Knowledge of electromagnetism and circuit theory with ability to perform electromagnetic simulations
11. Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python
12. Strong communication skills in English (French is a plus)
13. Analytical thinking and ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary and international teams
14. Awareness of business processes related to product development
