Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

1. Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
2. Establish relationships with key decision-makers in organisations.
3. Generate leads and make initial contact with prospective customers.
4. Meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone.
5. Foster and develop long-term relationships with customers/clients.
6. Understand customer needs and respond effectively with a plan to meet these needs.
7. Think strategically, setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
8. Carry out operational planning to implement necessary changes.
9. Draft client contracts, depending on the company size.
10. Have in-depth knowledge of the business's products/services and be able to advise others.
11. Educate staff throughout the organisation about the need for change and their roles in achieving this.
12. Collaborate with the marketing department to discuss promotional strategies and activities.
13. Improve business operations through innovative ideas and suggestions.

  • 14. Stay up-to-date with trends and changes in the business world.
    15. Create a sales pipeline.
    16. Negotiate prices with customers and suppliers as needed.
    17. Increase sales of the business.
    18. Analyse sales forecasts and present findings to senior management/the board of directors.
    19. Contribute to the development of the business sales and marketing strategy.

    Requirements

    * Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in marketing and/or relationship management.
    * Prior experience in a Business Analyst/Programme Manager role.
    * B2B international experience, particularly in the IT sector.
    * Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
    * Advanced English level.
    * Good understanding of the IT market and Software Development Life Cycle.
    * Strong negotiation and sales skills.
    * Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet/exceed targets.
    * Excellent telephone manner for initial contact and ongoing communication with customers/business associates.
    * Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.
    * Written and verbal communication skills for effective communication with various stakeholders.
    * IT skills, including spreadsheet use.
    * Teamworking skills and collaborative approach.
    * Decision-making skills.
    * Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
    * Project management and organisational skills.
    * Self-motivation and goal-setting skills.
    * Negotiation skills.
    * Strategic thinking ability.
    * Sales figure analysis and reporting skills.
    * Flexible approach to work with adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
    * Initiative and confidence to start projects from scratch.
