Join a high‑performing Area team in the DACH region of partner solution engineers driving AI‑powered transformation across Germany and Switzerland through Microsoft Partner companies. As a Security Partner Solution Architect you’ll design cutting‑edge solutions, deliver compelling demos, and influence strategic decisions for top‑tier partners to help them create new solutions and offerings for the market.
You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, and partners to bring AI to life—across devices, cloud, and business apps—helping organizations unlock productivity and growth with the Microsoft technology stack based on products like Data Security Compliance, Purview, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, the Purview Suite.

Responsibilities
* Collaborate across Microsoft and customer/partner teams through on‑strategy delivery to achieve customer/partner objectives and increase satisfaction. Manage business and technical risks, adapt methodology and apply governance principles to identify, communicate, and minimize risks.
* Identify new opportunities for Consumption and Usage at scale based on business value to partners and clear understanding of the Microsoft value proposition for supported platforms to empower cloud success, foster and strengthen security and resiliency, and drive AI innovation.
* Actively listen to and respectfully challenge customers and partners, building trust to advocate for alternative architectures/solutions/approaches that shape and enhance requirements. Identify, evaluate industry trends, gather partner insights, and map existing architecture and digital transformation solutions to partner business outcomes.
* Identify and prioritize opportunities that align with revenue goals and orchestrate growth of solution utilization pipeline with partners. Aids partners and sales teams to bring clarity to specific opportunities through proof of concept and technical pre‑sales support.
* Guide and support partners in developing repeatable offerings, practices, products, and solutions. Advise the partner throughout initial strategic customer implementations.
* Identify gaps through delivery, communicate gaps to relevant stakeholders, and connect gaps and patterns across business and technology areas that drive changes and improvements to products, IP, and processes to enable solutions to scale across customers.
* Contribute to leading virtual teams around technologies and customer/partner challenges, share ideas, insights, and strategic technical input with technical teams, internal communities across the field, and the larger virtual team across Microsoft using knowledge of Microsoft architectures and their context in the competitive landscape. Contribute to intellectual property and identify patterns where no IP exists to build scalable and repeatable models. Participate in external technical and non‑technical community events that elevate the Microsoft brand and share learnings across internal teams.
Qualifications
* Proven years technical pre‑sales or technical consulting experience OR bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field AND a few years technical pre‑sales or technical consulting experience OR master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field AND a couple years technical pre‑sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
* Professional English proficiency and fluent in at least one of the following languages: German, French, Italian.
* Technology know‑how for Data Security Compliance, Purview, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, the Purview Suite.
* Knowledge of security standards like NIS, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.
* Previous experience working in a customer‑facing role.
* Previous experience working on technical projects.
* Technical certification in Cloud (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.
