Data Scientist position
60 % At the Department of Ophthalmology at the University Hospital Zurich & University of Zurich, all diseases that affect the eye are diagnosed and treated. Through our research, we develop methods that preserve and improve the eyesight of future patients. Projects are carried out at an internationally competitive level in various areas, including basic research, translational research, and clinical research.
We are currently seeking a data analyst or biostatistician with a passion for contributing to meaningful work that directly impacts public health. The candidate will assist our team of biostatisticians in enhancing our infrastructure, automating processes, and implementing the highest standards of data quality and reproducibility.
Your responsibilities
Conduct statistical analyses of real-world data using R.
Develop automation pipelines for data processing and documentation compilation.
Assist in the development of a reproducible and sustainable analysis framework within the FRB! Database.
Your profile
University degree in Biostatistics, Biology, Data Analysis, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in R, RStudio, and RMarkdown.
Proficiency in using computational reproducibility tools and collaborative frameworks (e.g., GitHub).
Knowledge of automated web deployment tools.
Knowledge of and experience with SQL and multi-dimensional datasets.
Experience with web frameworks (e.g., various APIs) and FHIR interfaces is an advantage.
An excellent command of English.
