The Role
We’re looking for a Senior UI Designer with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for crafting beautiful, functional interfaces that redefine the in‑car digital experience.
You’ll shape the visual and interactive language of AirConsole’s infotainment platform — from refining our current design system to creating new, immersive in‑vehicle applications.
Working closely with our Founder / Chief Innovation Officer and development team, you’ll take ownership of the full visual design process — from concept to production — ensuring every screen feels elegant, intuitive, and distinctly AirConsole.
What You’ll Do
* Own the UI design process for AirConsole’s in‑car experiences, turning complex ideas into elegant, driver‑friendly interfaces.
* Create high‑fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes that balance aesthetics, clarity, and usability on smaller, embedded screens.
* Develop and evolve our design system — establishing consistent visual patterns, motion, and component libraries for in‑car environments.
* Collaborate with UX researchers and engineers to refine flows, transitions, and micro‑interactions for production.
* Prototype rapidly in Figma (or your preferred tool) and explore new workflows using AI‑assisted design tools to accelerate iteration.
* Push visual boundaries while respecting automotive safety and accessibility standards.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years of UI design experience, ideally on consumer‑facing digital products.
* Proven ability to design for mobile, tablet, or in‑car infotainment systems, with a strong focus on visual and interaction design.
* A refined sense of layout, typography, color, motion, and hierarchy.
* Expert in Figma, Sketch, or similar, with an interest in AI‑enhanced design workflows.
* Ability to translate research and data insights into visually compelling, user‑centered interfaces.
* Autonomous, creative, and detail‑oriented, able to take an idea from rough sketch to pixel‑perfect reality.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
* Experience with Android Automotive OS or other infotainment platforms.
* Passion for gaming, entertainment, or connected car experiences.
* Familiarity with motion design or 3D UI principles for immersive automotive interfaces.
