Overview
The Account Director will be the primary interface into Lidl & KL for all International meetings, including negotiation of all contracts and development of the business growth agenda. They will also be the primary interface with all of our Lidl & KL Account Teams across Europe including both PepsiCo and Franchise employees.

Responsibilities

Own and lead the end-to-end International strategic partnership with Lidl & Kaufland across Europe, ensuring a consistent, high-impact engagement model and long-term value creation across all markets and touchpoints. (Decision / Accountability)

Act as the single point of accountability for the Schwarz Group relationship at a pan-European level, aligning internal stakeholders and external counterparts behind a unified strategic agenda. (Decision / Accountability)

Drive full P&L ownership for Lidl & Kaufland across Europe, delivering against net revenue and profitability commitments while systematically unlocking under trade and white space opportunities. (Decision / Accountability)

Set and lead the pan-European growth strategy for Lidl & Kaufland, translating enterprise ambition into clear commercial priorities, initiatives, and execution frameworks across 28 markets. (Decision / Accountability)

Lead all senior-level customer engagements (face-to-face and virtual), shaping the strategic narrative, strengthening executive relationships, and positioning PepsiCo as a preferred partner of choice. (Decision / Execution)

Own and steer all international contract negotiations with Lidl across Beverages and Snacks, securing optimal commercial terms while balancing growth, profitability, and long-term partnership objectives. (Decision / Accountability)

Shape and influence pan-European pricing strategies and commercial frameworks, ensuring alignment, competitiveness, and value creation across all Company-operated markets. (Consult / Decision)

Direct and coordinate cross-market execution through COBO and FOBO teams, ensuring centrally defined strategies are translated into consistent, high-quality in-market delivery. (Execution / Accountability)

Lead and orchestrate the PepsiCo–Schwarz account network across Europe, aligning company-owned and franchise teams to operate as one integrated system. (Execution / Leadership)

Build and institutionalize the “One Schwarz Team” model, elevating capability and performance across the WW Discount Community and OT KAM population through structured upskilling and leadership. (Execution / Leadership)

Own the development and execution of pan-European activation platforms (including XXL, UEFA, and Gatorade–Lidl Trek), ensuring strong internal alignment, disciplined project governance, and impactful external sell-in. (Decision / Execution)

Drive end-to-end governance of key strategic initiatives, from concept through execution, ensuring delivery against commercial objectives and timelines across multiple markets. (Execution / Accountability)

Act as the primary interface for all international engagements with Lidl & Kaufland, ensuring clarity, consistency, and senior-level alignment across all strategic discussions and decision points. (Decision / Accountability)

Serve as WW Channel Head for Schwarz Group, leading large-scale T2T engagements and leveraging global capabilities to deliver step-change growth and partnership outcomes. (Decision / Accountability)

Qualifications

Strong leadership & strategic skills with ability to set the agenda.

Proven relationship building and communication skills with executive presence to interact with Sr. leadership (internally and externally).

Superior presentation development skills (Development and delivery to senior levels).

Acumen in diverse supply chain and distribution options and methods.

Extensive knowledge of the company landscape and how to manage an effective network.

Superior time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and plan.

Strong use of influencing and negotiation skills to gain alignment, agreement and commitments.

Ability to work effectively within cross functional teams and proactively influence strategic decision making.

Strong communication, collaboration, influence and impact skills at all levels within an organization.

Self‑Starter, ability to work independently in the absence of direct supervision.

Exceptional results orientation with a high degree of personal initiative and leadership.

Leadership skills to manage and develop a scale virtual team.

Ability to deal with many different cultures and styles.
