About the Role
1 year fixed term contract with extension.
As a Data Engineer, you will make an impact by building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support analytics and business intelligence. You will be a valued member of the data team and work collaboratively with data scientists and analysts.
In This Role, You Will
* Develop and maintain scalable ETL processes and data pipelines.
* Integrate data from various sources into centralized data platforms.
* Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
* Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
Work model
Hybrid position requiring presence in Zurich, Switzerland.
What You Need To Have
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
* Hands‑on experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
* Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
* Experience with Python or Java for data processing.
These will help you stand out
* Experience with cloud‑based data services (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).
* Familiarity with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Flink).
* Understanding of data governance and security practices.
* Exposure to BI tools and reporting platforms.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
