The Role As a Ruby Developer at Debifi, you will help build the future of decentralized finance by developing secure, high-performance systems. You will work on fintech products used by more than 100,000 people globally, contributing to non-custodial Bitcoin lending solutions where financial sovereignty is the norm. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a small, focused team to create scalable, reliable services. We’re looking for developers for long-term cooperation who are passionate about Bitcoin, clean code, and shaping next‑generation financial products.
Responsibilities Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets both technical and functional requirements.
Collaborate closely with fellow developers, technical leads, UX designers, business and systems analysts, QA engineers, and support teams.
Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Maintain, fix, and enhance existing software components.
Participate actively in the quality assurance process, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Contribute to the deployment of software and system releases.
About You Experience with Ruby and the Rails framework
Understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and experience with MVC, MVP, and other architectural approaches
Understanding of database design principles, ability to write complex SQL queries, knowledge of ActiveRecord ORM, and experience with PostgreSQL
Knowledge of strategies and best practices for optimizing SQL queries
Understanding how REST API, WebSockets, RPC, and client–server applications work
Basic experience with Docker and GitLab CI
Basic knowledge of http protocol
Ability to propose, justify, and implement a complete solution to a task from start to finish
Adherence to secure coding practices, including the ability to foresee and prevent possible attack vectors while developing, refactoring, or performing code reviews
English proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation, working with tasks in Jira, and communicating in corporate chat
Strong attention to detail and a responsible approach to code review
Desire for continuous professional growth
High level of self‑organization (important for remote work)
Nice to have Understanding of blockchain technologies: Bitcoin, Ethereum + ERC-20, Liquid
Experience writing or using cryptocurrency libraries and APIs, understanding of cryptographic principles
