The Deputy Senior IT System Engineer is co-responsible for managing and mentoring the Compute Team while driving strategic infrastructure initiatives to ensure a robust and future-proof computing environment. By fostering collabo-ration across IT functions and continuously exploring modernization opportunities, including cloud and automation, the Senior IT System Engineer, ensures operational excellence and technological innovation. How you’ll make impactDeputy Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Compute Team, ensuring effective planning, structured communication, and professional developmentStrategic Vision: Define and implement a visionary roadmap and architecture for the "Computing" domain, aligning with organizational goals and emerging technologies and IT trendsTechnical Oversight: Ensure effective operation, support, and development of all services in your domain by appropriate automation and lifecyclesInfrastructure Engineering: Responsible for Storage and Horizon Infrastructure, ESXi Server, vSphere, and core services such as Backup (Veeam), Certificate, Monitoring and LoggingSecurity and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance across infrastructure componentsProject Coordination: Drive infrastructure improvements, including planning, specification, and execution of solutionsCollaboration: Work closely with Network and Endpoint teams to ensure seamless operations and effective escalation management. You align with and consult other IT functions like Customer Service or Enterprise Application and Integration to provide appropriate services and solutionsInnovation and Transition: Strong interest in automation and understanding of necessary tools.
