PulliFull-time /li /ul h3Job Description /h3 pAs a Construction Project Engineer within the Site and Civil Engineering Department (Project Portfolio Management Group), you will contribute to the delivery of complex construction projects at CERN. Reporting to a CERN Project Manager, you will coordinate site activities, manage interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure smooth execution while meeting technical, scheduling, budgetary, and safety objectives /p h3Your responsibilities /h3 ul liSupervise the execution of construction works and ensure, in liaison with the relevant external consultants (architects, structural and MEP engineers), that all works comply with contractual drawings and specifications. /li liEnsure that all safety measures are properly implemented and adhered to on the worksites, while identifying potential issues, preventing their occurrence and managing the remediation of defects. /li liParticipate in testing, commissioning and taking-over activities to ensure the smooth handover of the works. /li liContribute to the design, coordination and procurement phases of new projects in close collaboration with the project manager, including monitoring consultants' deliverables during the construction phase. /li liCoordinate on-site interfaces between contractors and CERN specialised services, organise the worksite according to the construction schedule, and monitor the progress, quality and budget of the works in close collaboration with the project manager. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liExperience in Civil Engineering design or Construction works on site. /li liExperience in coordination. /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liProficiency in the MS Office suite including MS project. /li liFamiliarity with construction project management tools and methodologies. /li liQuality control, writing procedures, reports and minutes. /li liSpoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language. /li liYou have a professional background in Civil Engineering (or a related field) and have either:ul libMaster's degree with 2 to 6 years /b of post-graduation professional experience; /li lior a bPhD with no more than 3 years /b of post-graduation professional experience. /li /ul /li liYou have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before. /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pContract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum. /p pWorking hours: 40 hours per week /p pJob flexibility: Fully Onsite /p pThis position involves: /p ul liWork in Radiation Areas. /li liInterventions in underground installations. /li liA valid driving licence. /li liWork during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required by the needs of the Organization. /li /ul pJob reference: SCE-PPM-CS- -GRAP /p pField of work: Civil Engineering /p pBenchmark job: - Civil Engineer /p ul liA monthly stipend between Swiss Francs per month (tax free) depending on your degree. /li li30 days of paid leave per year plus 2 weeks annual closure. /li liCoverage by CERN’s comprehensive health insurance scheme (for yourself, your spouse and children), and membership of the CERN Pension Fund. /li liFamily, child and infant monthly allowances depending on your individual circumstances. /li liA relocation package (installation grant and travel expenses) depending on your individual circumstances. /li liPossibility to extend your contract up to 36 months. /li liOn-the-job and formal training including language classes. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
