In this position, you will support the customer on operational issues on our laser systems and acts like the first technical point of contact. Further you will analyse issues and system data and you are responsible for decision process (triage) on further service steps. You Interact with a wide range of stakeholders to resolve service issues.
Primary Responsibilities
* First point of contact for technical support (remotely or on-site)
* Diagnose and analyse system failures reported by customer and advises on further steps.
* Responsible for financial aspects of repair process, esp. quoting.
* Creates and provides failure / 8D reports to customer.
* Strong interaction and alignment with Engineering, Production, Planning and Product Line Management required.
* Provide and support customer training on use of laser systems.
* Create and maintain detailed records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and preventive and corrective actions
Required Education, Experience, Skills, And Travel
* A relevant Engineering Degree, preferably in systems engineering, electrical engineering or photonics.
* 2-5 years of experience in a similar position.
* Experience of working with customers.
* Hands-on experience.
* Interpersonal skills are key – able to interact well with customers.
* Good understanding of opto-mechanical assemblies, electronics and of overall laser system performance.
* Familiarity with ultrafast laser diagnostic equipment.
* Team oriented but can also work independently.
* The ability to think out of the box and use skills and experience to do things better.
* Curious in nature.
* Documentation skills, organising skills able to work on multiple concurrent activities.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong interest in building a new function.
Travel Expectations
Up to 10% annually, potentially globally.
Additional Requirements
Business English is required. Working to support different time zones may be required.
