Overview

British American Tobacco Switzerland has an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Specialist in Lausanne. As the Social Media Executive you will be responsible for executing the brand’s social media strategy across platforms, ensuring consistent storytelling, strong engagement, and alignment with broader marketing objectives. The role also supports influencer collaborations, event coverage, and the amplification of offline activations into impactful digital content.


What are we looking for?

* 2 years of experience in social media management or a related field managing brand social media accounts
* Experience working with influencers and executing campaigns as well as supporting or covering events for digital channels
* Strong understanding of major social media platforms and trends (Instagram, Hootsuite…) with good eye for aesthetics and brand storytelling
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities (strong organization skills)
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data
* Excellent German and/ or French and fluent in English are a must
* Comfortable being on-site at events and working flexible hours when needed
* Creative team player with a collaborative mindset


Responsibilities

* Social Media Management & Content Execution: Manage day-to-day social media activities; Ensure consistent tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging across all channels; Monitor trends and proactively suggest relevant content opportunities
* Content Creation & Optimization: Support our agencies with the creation of engaging content; Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (photographers, videographers, agencies); Optimize content based on performance insights and platform best practices
* Influencer – Ambassador Marketing: Identify and manage relationships with influencers aligned with the brand; Coordinate influencer campaigns from briefing to execution and reporting (in coordination with our agency); Track performance (reach, engagement, conversions) and ensure deliverables are met; Support contract management, gifting, and campaign logistics
* Event Attendance & Live Coverage: Attend brand events, launches, and activations; Capture real-time content (stories, reels, live updates) during events; Coordinate with event teams to ensure strong digital visibility; Manage post-event content rollout to maximize reach and engagement
* Offline-to-Online Activation Support: Translate offline campaigns, retail activations, and events into digital-first content; Ensure seamless integration between physical experiences and online storytelling; Support campaign amplification across social media and influencer channels; Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to align messaging and timing
* Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor social media KPIs (engagement, growth, reach, conversions); Prepare regular reports with insights and actionable recommendations; Track influencer and campaign performance; Stay up to date with platform updates and industry benchmarks
