Job Description
Financial Reporting is a specialized area of accounting focused on preparing statutory financial statements and reports including:
Preparation of statutory financial statements and reports for filing with regulatory agencies based on application of relevant accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS, etc.)
Analyzing impacts of new accounting standards, reporting requirements, and regulatory standards on existing and new transactions
Profit & Loss (P&L) and balance sheet analysis, including variance analysis that supports notes and management commentary in the statutory financial accounts and reports
May also include internal or vendor reporting
Responsibilities
A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Responsibilities Typically Include
Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision
Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals
