Head of Financial Reporting and Consolidation Systems ABB, a global market leader in robotics and automation, seeks a senior finance leader to drive financial consolidation, reporting, and governance for ABB Robotics. In this hybrid role based in Switzerland (other European locations possible) you will report to the Corporate Controlling team, lead the consolidation and reporting teams, and partner with senior finance and business leaders to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting. Leadership & Governance – Lead the consolidation and financial reporting teams, ensuring integrated, efficient, and accurate operations. Maintain strong governance and quality control over external financial disclosures and interactions with external auditors. Financial Reporting & Compliance – Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and periodic reporting to the parent company, ensuring compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and ABB’s internal policies. Process Optimization & Automation – Design and maintain the company’s financial reporting framework, driving continuous improvement, automation, and streamlined data flows across reporting and consolidation processes. System Implementation – Lead the financial reporting workstream of the new consolidation tool implementation (go‑live January 2027), ensuring alignment with FP&A and other key functions for a coordinated, company‑wide approach. Internal Controls & Stakeholder Collaboration – Develop and maintain a strong internal control framework for consolidation and reporting; act as a trusted expert and advisor to senior leaders on accounting and reporting matters. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA qualification required, with strong interest in IT and accounting systems. 10 years of post‑qualification experience in financial reporting, internal controls, or Big 4 auditing, including at least 3 years in a multinational corporate environment. Proven track record in external financial reporting and consolidation within complex, global organizations; industrial sector and ABB experience are strong advantages. Deep knowledge of accounting and reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) with ability to interpret, challenge, and communicate complex issues clearly. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills; ability to influence senior management and collaborate across functions and geographies.
