Ph3Observability Engineer /h3 pAs an Observability Engineer, you will take on hands‑on engineering role with real influence on the evolution of our observability landscape. You design, implement and operate modern observability solutions that ensure transparency, reliability and performance of our IT services across cloud and on‑premises environments. /p pThis role combines deep technical ownership with exposure to modern observability standards and cloud technologies. You will work closely with experienced platform, architecture and service management teams and collaborate with our ServiceNow team to technically integrate observability signals and alerts into Service Now Event Management (ITOM). /p pWhile your focus remains hands‑on engineering, platform operation, and continuous improvement, you will also actively contribute to strategic topics such as observability strategy, roadmap definition and platform evolution, while remaining strongly rooted in implementation and day‑to‑day operations. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liEngineer, operate and continuously improve observability platforms as a service for infrastructure, platform and application teams; /li liImplement and maintain telemetry collection for metrics, logs and traces using open standards such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry; /li liDesign and operate scalable telemetry pipelines, including collection, processing, enrichment and routing of observability data; /li liBuild and maintain dashboards, alerts and service level indicators that support both operational teams and service owners; /li liIntegrate observability platforms with IT service management solutions, event management, and automation workflows; /li liSupport migration from legacy monitoring platforms to modern observability solutions; /li liTroubleshoot complex performance and availability issues across distributed systems; /li liCollaborate closely with application teams, service owners and platform stakeholders, providing consultative guidance and observability best practices to improve observability coverage and signal quality; /li liContribute to the definition and evolution of observability standards, best practices and guidelines; /li liContribute input to observability strategy, roadmap planning and technology evaluation; /li liCreate and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liProven hands‑on experience as an Observability Engineer, Monitoring Engineer or similar technical role; /li liPractical experience with open standards and ecosystems such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and related tooling; /li liExperience designing and operating telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs, and traces; /li liExperience with observability in modern distributed systems and cloud native architectures; /li liExperience with LLM observability, including monitoring, tracing, and quality signals for AI or ML based workloads; /li liExperience migrating from existing monitoring platforms to new observability platforms is a strong plus; /li liExperience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure; /li liExperience with on‑premises environments, particularly Microsoft based virtualized infrastructures; /li liExperience with scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, JSON or YAML; /li liExperience deploying Observability solutions / platform as IaC (Terraform); /li liGood understanding of IT service management processes and event driven operations is a plus; /li liStrong problem‑solving skills and a structured, analytical mindset; /li liAbility to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, platform, application and architecture teams; /li liProactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and continuously improve; /li liFluent English verbal and written communication skills.
