Job Description
We’re looking for a mixed‑methods UX Researcher to keep momentum on key initiatives (while a team member is on extended leave). You’ll run end‑to‑end research that directly shapes Swissquote’s products across investing, trading, daily banking and crypto. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data/analytics, and engineering to turn user insight into confident product decisions.
What you’ll do (outcomes & responsibilities)
* Plan and execute research across discovery and evaluation (interviews, usability studies, field studies, surveys, tree/card tests), matching method to decision and timeline.
* Deliver clear, actionable insights: synthesize evidence into concise narratives, opportunity areas, and prioritized recommendations; ensure findings land with the right stakeholders.
* Measure experience & impact: define success metrics (e.g., task success, SUS/UMUX‑Lite, time‑on‑task, adoption/retention), partner with Product/Design to track changes after launch.
* Champion inclusive design: recruit diverse participants; consider accessibility and different levels of financial literacy; surface risks and ethical considerations.
* Support product strategy: map journeys, uncover unmet needs, inform prioritization, and de‑risk big bets with lean experiments.
* Maintain ResearchOps: manage panel/screeners, consent and privacy, study templates, and a tidy repository so others can self‑serve.
* Partner across teams: co‑create with PRM/Design/Eng, present in reviews, and facilitate workshops that move decisions forward.
Qualifications
Must-have
* 3–6 years hands‑on UX research in product teams (fintech or other complex domains a plus).
* Mixed‑methods fluency: qualitative depth and practical quantitative skills (survey design, basic stats, confidence intervals, practical sample sizing).
* Great communicator: turns complexity into simple stories; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders in English.
* Evidence‑driven with a bias to action: knows when "just‑enough" research is enough and when rigor is required.
* Ethical and compliant: sound judgment on consent, privacy, and data handling in a regulated environment.
* Tooling familiarity: user‑research platforms (e.g., Maze), survey tools, analytics basics, Figma, and repository tools.
Nice to have
* Experience in brokerage/trading/wealth or daily banking; familiarity with investor types and risk appetites.
* Working knowledge of personas/segmentation, journey analytics, and experimentation with product teams.
* English proficiency (C1), French, German or Italian a plus.
* Accessibility testing experience (WCAG awareness) and working with assistive technologies.
Additional Information
* Hybrid collaboration with clear, focused research cycles aligned to product roadmaps.
* Pragmatic, lean approach: we scale methods to the decision, timeline, and risk.
* We share findings in short reads and live debriefs, and we track decisions and outcomes over time.
