About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Model as a Service (MaaS) and AI solutions business in the DACH market. This role focuses on AI Native companies, including startups, scale-ups, and enterprises adopting generative AI technologies. You will be at the forefront of Alibaba Cloud's AI expansion in Europe, working with cutting‑edge large language models and machine learning platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, engage, and develop relationships with AI Native companies, AI startups, research institutions, and enterprises pursuing AI transformation in DACH and broader European marketsDrive revenue growth for Alibaba Cloud's MaaS offerings, including Qwen (Tongyi) model family, PAI platform, and GPU computing servicesDevelop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for AI/ML products tailored to the European marketBuild a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, industry events, ecosystem partnerships, and referral networksCollaborate with solution architects and technical teams to deliver customized proposals and product demonstrationsNegotiate and close deals, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signingGather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product roadmap and localization effortsRepresent Alibaba Cloud at AI conferences, meetups, and industry forums across EuropeQualificationsRequired3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within cloud computing, AI/ML, or enterprise software industriesDemonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targetsStrong understanding of AI/ML technologies, including large language models, generative AI, and model training/inference workflowsExisting network within the AI startup ecosystem or enterprise AI community is highly preferredExcellent communication and presentation skills in English; French fluency is essentialAbility to work independently in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environmentPreferredExperience selling to technical buyers (CTOs, ML engineers, data scientists)Familiarity with competitive cloud AI offerings (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex AI)Background in a hyper‑growth startup or major cloud providerAdditional European languages (German, French, Dutch, Polish) are a plusJob RequirementsBachelor/ Master preferredVery connected on AI/startup scene within key countries (Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Poland)3 Tech savvy individual able to build solution scenarios based on customer requirements and technology services of AliCloudSales driven - ability from identifying opportunities, qualifying and closing deals
