Our client, a leading Swiss utility company, is looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer - Indirect Procurement & Sustainability to join their team. In this role, you will take ownership of indirect categories, develop long-term procurement strategies, and drive sustainable supplier management practices. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, shaping efficient and compliant procurement processes while making a tangible impact on the company's sustainability goals. Responsibilities
* Strategically support internal stakeholders in complex procurements under public procurement law (IVöB)
* Develop and implement multi-year procurement plans for indirect categories
* Design and execute category and supplier strategies, including supplier management, performance evaluation, and risk management
* Analyze market, price, and cost developments and derive optimization measures
* Build and integrate a sustainable category, contract, and supplier management system
* Advise internal departments on cost-effective, compliant, and sustainable procurement
* Develop and implement sustainable procurement processes, including supplier assessments, risk management, and training of internal teams
Your Profile
* Commercial training or equivalent qualification, ideally with further education in procurement or business administration (HF/FH level)
* Several years of experience in strategic procurement, especially in indirect categories and complex procurement projects
* Solid knowledge of public procurement regulations (IVöB)
* Experience in category, procurement, and supplier strategy development, including multi-year planning
* Strong interest in sustainable procurement and ability to implement it practically
* Project management experience (ideally Hermes 2022) and ability to manage cross-functional initiatives
* Proficient with ERP systems (SAP advantageous), e-procurement tools, and digital procurement processes
* Strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and a structured, proactive, and responsible working style
