Sulzer is seeking an R&D Intern to collaborate with leading experts in the field of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) within our Chemtech division.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to combine academic studies with industry experience and drive impactful research addressing one of the most pressing challenges of our time.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Hands-on Testing: Conduct laboratory-scale experiments by conducting reaction, separation, and analysis tests. Support and contribute to pilot-scale testing efforts ensuring real-world applicability of findings.
2. Data-Driven Insights: Process and analyze collected data to assist in refining methods and approaches, playing a crucial role in optimizing CCUS processes.
3. Discovery and Research: Contribute to the identification and development of groundbreaking technical solutions in CCUS. Engage in literature research, perform experimental measurements, and structure data to uncover new possibilities.
4. Reporting: Organize findings and present them clearly in reports and internal meetings making sure contributions drive actionable insights and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A Master or PhD degree in (Bio)Chemistry, Chemical / Process / Biochemical Engineering, or Material science.
* Laboratory experience conducting inorganic chemistry experiments.
* Knowhow in separation technologies and relevant analytics exposure to particle technology is a plus.
* Skilled in MS Office 365 applications.
* Fluency in English both written and verbal.
