Tandem Diabetes Care creates new possibilities for people living with diabetes, their loved ones, and their healthcare providers through a positively different experience. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to team up with us to "innovate every day," put "people first," and take the "no-shortcuts" approach that has propelled us to become a leader in the diabetes technology industry.
The role involves performing general accounting duties, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, payroll journal entries, fixed asset accounting, month-end journal entries, and preliminary review of profit and loss, income, and balance sheet statements and reports for multiple legal entities in Europe.
Responsibilities
* Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures for multiple legal entities.
* Prepare month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and other necessary adjustments.
* Prepare payroll journal entries and enters them into the general ledger (G/L).
* Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including asset rollovers and depreciation schedules.
* Review and adjust open purchase orders and record accrued items for the month.
* Submit reconciled month-end reports to the EMEA Controller.
* Responsible for the preparation of local VAT, intrastat and other local tax filings.
* Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
* Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting rules and coding of invoices.
* Familiarity with AP, AR and GL modules of ERP systems. Microsoft D365 preferred.
* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
* Process and detail oriented.
* Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
