Description Our busy company is seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our team of construction professionals. Currently, this position is part-time and will be remote. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating or project management. Experience with prevailing wage and union work is a must. Responsibilities
Prepare estimates, written proposals, budgets, costs, and updates for clients and project managers
Inspect the construction site to collect necessary client requirement information
Follow up with clients on submitted proposal and budgets
Examine specifications, blueprints, proposals, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole
Collaborate with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
Qualifications
Must have experience in prevailing wage and union projects.
Three years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software
Requires critical thinking, analytical skills, and very strong math skills
Excellent project management, time-management, and communication skills are necessary
Compensation $30 - $40 hourly
