Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities
Sales Strategic Application Development & R&D Collaboration
* Work with the sales and R&D teams to define and prioritize strategic applications.
* Bring customer and market insights to guide application focus and commercial relevance.
* Ensure alignment between technical development and commercial needs.
Customer Identification & Engagement
* Identify and approach potential customers suited for application development or partnership activities.
* Introduce company capabilities, coordinate discussions, and support early‑stage opportunity development.
* Explore collaboration or off‑take possibilities where appropriate.
Partnership Development
* Build partnerships across target sectors such as packaging, agriculture, textiles, and automotive.
* Support discussions, negotiations, and development of JDAs and other collaborative frameworks.
Market & Opportunity Analysis
* Conduct market assessments to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and new opportunities.
* Evaluate commercial potential of new applications, including biopolymers and copolymers.
Customer Relationship Management
* Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
* Support technical and commercial interactions during application development projects.
Reporting & Documentation
* Prepare regular activity and pipeline reports.
* Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, agreements, and project progress.
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
* Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering/Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
* 2+ years of experience in the polymer, chemical, or materials industry is preferred, but strong technical understanding from adjacent fields is also acceptable.
* Open to candidates coming from sales in a similar field, technical roles with polymer/material expertise, or individuals without sales experience but with strong technical capability and a natural talent for relationship‑building.
* Knowledge of polymers, materials, or processing technologies is required; an industry network is a plus but not essential.
* Ability to build strong relationships across all levels—from operations to executive leadership.
* Strong presentation, communication, and customer‑facing skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
* A mix of entrepreneurial thinking, executive presence, high drive, and natural curiosity.
* Ability to understand market and customer needs and translate them into meaningful opportunities.
* Willingness to travel internationally (25%–50%).
