Role Description
We are looking for an experienced professional with over 10 years of project experience, preferably in high-voltage (HV) technology. The successful candidate will join Electrophysics Team, responsible for developing next-generation environmentally friendly and smart equipment for global power networks.
This role involves collaboration with various departments, both locally and globally, coordination with external parties-including component suppliers, sub-system suppliers, software suppliers, and customers worldwide-and representation of our company at fairs, conferences, and international committees.
Work location : Zurich, Switzerland
Job Responsibilities :
* Lead and support R&D projects focusing on environmentally friendly and digital High Voltage Circuit Breaker technologies, developing innovative solutions that drive the transition to a cleaner and smarter energy landscape.
* Analyze data obtained from R&D testing to identify patterns, trends, and insights for product and technology improvement.
* Utilize advanced simulation tools, such as 1D simulation tools, to organize, perform, and manage parametric and sensitivity studies on design and optimization.
* Maintain and improve simulation tools and models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
* Participate in local initiatives related to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applied to R&D, exploring new avenues for innovation.
* Represent the company in international committees, such as CIGRE, IEC, and IEEE, with opportunities to publish research papers and deliver presentations.
* Provide support to the global organization on topics related to your field of expertise, sharing insights and knowledge to drive collaboration across the company.
* Lead open innovation projects with external partners, fostering collaborative relationships and leveraging external expertise to drive breakthrough innovations.
* Coordinate projects with local and international universities and research institutes, collaborating with academia to advance research and development efforts.
* Design, develop, and analyze high-voltage components, ensuring compliance with international standards and customer requirements.
* Conduct feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, and simulate expected performances of new products.
Your Profile :
1. Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field in Energy or Power Systems.
2. Over 10 years of experience in managing projects, with a strong emphasis on high-voltage circuit breaker technology.
3. PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
4. Proficiency in 1D simulation tools and programming languages such as Python and / or VBA.
5. Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation methods and techniques is a plus.
6. Knowledge of LCA-driven design principles and their application in energy systems.
7. Fluent in English.
8. Outstanding communication and intercultural skills.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
10. Independent and self-motivated personality.
