We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Product Manager to lead the end-to-end management of a globally sourced product portfolio from Beauty & Care. This role involves full accountability for product performance across cost, supply, inventory, quality, and documentation, while fostering strong relationships with third-party suppliers and cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial. You will contribute to innovation, portfolio planning, and S&OP processes, while navigating complexity across global functions and cultural contexts.
We’re looking for a proactive leader with a strong scientific background (MSc/PhD in Chemistry, Biology, or similar), solid B2B product or project management experience, and excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Fluency in English and German is required; additional languages are a plus. A successful candidate will bring strategic thinking, business acumen, and a collaborative, customer-centric mindset to drive product success in a dynamic, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end global product management for a portfolio mainly sourced from third parties, including pricing, supply, inventory, quality, and documentation.
* Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Demand Management, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure product availability, compliance, and performance.
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and drive opportunities for portfolio expansion.
* Ensure optimal inventory levels and OTIF targets in coordination with SCM.
* Contribute to IBP / S&OP processes, strategic portfolio planning, and innovation projects.
* Manage customer documentation and complaint handling in line with positioning and confidentiality policies.
* Share market, product, and supplier insights to support commercial and innovation strategies.
* Support product allocation and evaluate new suppliers for integration into the portfolio.
* Troubleshoot supply chain and product issues with internal and external stakeholders.
You bring:
* MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, or related natural sciences
* 7–10 years of experience in B2B product, project, commercial management, or purchasing (preferably within dsm-firmenich)
* Proven leadership of global, interdisciplinary teams
* Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills in multicultural settings
* Proficient in business systems and tools, such as Business Warehouse, Trackwise
* Fluent in English (C2) and German (B2); other languages are a plus
