Hydromea is a fast-growing Swiss deep-tech company developing underwater wireless communication and portable robotics. Our mission is to enable fully remote inspection and monitoring of submerged assets at scale — safely, sustainably, and at a fraction of today’s costs. Our systems are already deployed in offshore energy, hydro-power and critical infrastructure, and we are expanding rapidly into new industrial and environmental markets.
Responsibilities
* Lead, organize and grow our manufacturing and workshop team.
* Assemble electronic and mechanical components into sub-assemblies or finished products.
* Test sub-assemblies and finished products.
* Oversee production planning, assembly, testing, and quality control.
* Ensure high standards in manufacturing processes, safety, and documentation.
* Identify bottlenecks and gaps in processes or communication, work out solutions and implement them.
* Collaborate with R&D and supply chain teams to industrialize new products.
* Manage ERP production data, workflows, and reports to support company scaling.
* Continuously improve efficiency, cost control, and product delivery performance.
* Responsible for workshop and machine maintenance, identify issues, propose and implement improvements to tools, machines and processes.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on manufacturing experience within electronics, robotics, or precision engineering.
* Strong team leadership experience and hands-on problem-solving skills.
* Practical knowledge of quality systems, lean processes, and assembly workflows.
* Working ERP experience.
* Fluent in French and English (both required).
* Proactive mindset suited to a fast-growing tech scale-up environment.
* Strong understanding and pragmatic commitment to lean principles, improving efficiency and reducing waste of time and material.
