We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our Fluid Technology team in Winterthur.
Join our Fluid Technology team within our Chemtech division in Switzerland as Development Engineer Fluid Technology and contribute to bring flow investigations to the next level. Your role will center on advancing product development projects by advanced simulations in the field of separation and mixing technologies. Your main tasks and responsibilities:
* Fluid mechanical development related to separation and mixing technology.
* Development of new products and product optimization in collaboration with corresponding R&D teams.
* CFD based flow investigations for commercial projects including simulation and presentation of technical results covering wide range of products and applications in the Portfolio of Chemtech in oil & gas and general industries (e.g. multiphase separators, sloshing studies, and mixer applications).
* Development of new simulation methodologies and testing and benchmarking available open-source software for simulation purpose.
* Efficient communication and presentation of technical results to wide range of external clients, internal staff and scientific community.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computational Science, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
* Very good understanding of fundamental fluid mechanics.
* Several years’ experience with commercial CFD software (e.g., ANSYS, Fluent, CFX) required. Multiphase flow simulation experiences are an advantage.
* Strong computer literacy: programming, scripting or data science experience is a plus.
* Strong analytical mindset and a proactive, collaborative approach, with the flexibility to work across disciplines and communicate ideas effectively.
* Fluency in English – other languages a plus.
