Our client, a leading international player in the retail and consumer goods sector, is seeking a Data Analyst - Commercial Finance to strengthen its Finance organization. The role combines data, finance, and strategy to support key decisions. You will turn complex data into actionable insights, enhance reporting, and work closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
Job Description
* Lead deep‑dive financial and operational analyses to support commercial decision‑making.
* Develop data models and maintain a scalable semantic layer for reporting and forecasting.
* Translate business needs into clear data insights and partner with Finance, Controlling, and Data Engineering teams.
* Create intuitive dashboards and reports to communicate key trends to stakeholders.
* Ensure data accuracy, support data governance, and resolve data quality issues.
* Drive automation and continuous improvement across analytics and reporting workflows.
The Successful Applicant
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science).
* 5+ years' experience in data analysis or business intelligence, ideally within Finance or Controlling.
* Strong SQL skills and hands‑on experience with modern BI tools; Looker is a plus.
* Experience designing data models and working with semantic layers.
* Familiarity with cloud data platforms; GCP/BigQuery is an advantage.
* Solid understanding of commercial KPIs and experience in retail or consumer goods.
* Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse stakeholders.
* Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style.
