The Company
Graian Capital Management SA (FINMA licensed and regulated) is a Switzerland-based asset management firm focused on delivering total returns across a broad range of asset classes, including fixed income, equity, and multi-asset strategies. Its assets under management (AUM) have surpassed $1 billion and continue to grow.
The Team
The fixed income team operates with a total return approach, unconstrained by benchmarks, and invests
globally across the capital structure, utilizing both derivatives (rates, credit, options) and cash bonds. The
team consists of five members: two performing credit investment professionals, a macro quant strategist,
a special situations investment professional, and the team head. Currently, there are three credit strategies
in place: Defensive Credit, Credit Opportunities, and Special Situations Credit. This covers the whole
investment spectrum from cross-over credit opportunities to restructurings. Additionally, the global equity
team comprises five members. There is also a global macro portfolio manager.
The Role
The company is seeking a Junior Credit Analyst to join its expanding fixed income team. The ideal candidate
will have a strong academic background in finance or economics, and a solid understanding of accounting
and financial analysis obtained through coursework or relevant work experience. This role offers ample
professional development opportunities, including the potential for quick advancement based on results.
Assist senior analysts in selection of investment ideas, building and maintaining financial models,
monitoring industry trends and performance of portfolio companies.
Evaluate the relative value and absolute return potential of existing and potential investments.
Support the team’s macroeconomic research efforts.
Contribute to the development of proprietary tools and ongoing enhancement of the process.
Requirements
1-2 years of experience in a similar role (including internships) is preferred but is not mandatory.
A degree in economics or a related field from a top-tier university, with excellent academic
performance.
Understanding of accounting, financial analysis, modelling and macroeconomics; working knowledge
of fixed income markets is preferred(but not mandatory).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; programming skills (Python), and experience with AI tools
and with Bloomberg Terminal would be a plus.
Progress towards CFA designation is an advantage.
Fluency in English is required.
