We are looking for a Banking Accountant with a strong foundation in financial operations and an interest in data, automation, and AI-driven transformation.
This role is ideal for someone who combines solid accounting expertise with technical curiosity and the ability to partner closely with IT teams to improve processes, reporting, and systems.
Client Details A bank in Geneva.
Description Accounting & Financial Operations Perform daily accounting tasks and support month-end and year-end closings
Manage client fee processing and monitoring
Handle invoicing, expenses, accruals, interests, cash position monitoring
Prepare and monitor reconciliations (accounts, positions, transactions)
Support regulatory reporting requirements
Assist with VAT calculations and declarations
Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and Swiss banking standards
Business Intelligence & Systems Collaborate with IT on process automation and data-driven initiatives
Support the bank's ongoing AI and digital transformation projects
Assist in improving reporting structures and data flows
Contribute to system testing, validation, and enhancements
Profile Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting within the banking sector
Strong understanding of banking operations and accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros)
Experience with SQL and/or Python
Comfortable working with large datasets and reporting tools
Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and IT teams
Fluent in English or French; both is an advantage
Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with Power BI or Tableau
Knowledge of APSYS banking system
Background in a Big 4 accounting or audit firm
Experience with system migrations or automation projects
