Position Title: Food Service
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
* Current TB test.
* Food Handlers Certification.
* Ability to read and communicate in English.
* Accurately count, weigh, and measure.
* Follow instructions and take initiative in performing assigned tasks.
* Physical ability to walk, stoop, stand, twist, and squat regularly.
* Lift a minimum of 51 pounds to 33 inches occasionally.
Environmental Requirements:
Must work in hot, humid environments and in cold or below-zero environments for short periods.
Reports To: Food Service Manager
Terms of Employment: Benefits and work calendar as per the Classified Agreement.
Essential Job Functions:
* Interact professionally with staff, students, faculty, visitors, and co-workers.
* Assist with food preparation following recipes and instructions.
* Wash pots, pans, and utensils using dish machine or three-compartment sink.
* Prepare and serve food on the line, assemble utensils.
* Monitor food and beverage temperatures, report unsafe temperatures, and take corrective actions.
* Serve food according to prescribed portions.
* Disassemble and clean the serving area.
* Properly store or discard leftovers.
* Follow HACCP guidelines.
* Manage trash and replace bags.
Other Job Functions:
* Arrive on time in proper uniform and groomed.
* Assist with inventory, unpacking, and stocking.
* Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
* Follow all district and building rules.
* Practice proper hand hygiene.
* Participate in meetings and training.
