About the Position
The “Laser Tech.” Group of the “Instrumentation” Business Unit, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is looking for an R&D Engineer for laser technologies.
Your Mission
With your extensive knowledge of laser technologies, ranging from mode-locked to stabilized continuous-wave lasers based on fiber, solid-state and semi-conductor technologies, you will significantly contribute to the development of industrial and academic projects in the field of optical atomic clocks, space technologies and laser-based instrumentation.
Responsibilities
Execute technical tasks vital to the success of our diverse projects
Build, optimize and characterize laser sources, mode-locked lasers, optical frequency combs, stabilized lasers and optical amplifiers
Lead the assembly and characterization of laser-based prototypes
Research and develop new laser architectures
Take part in the execution of laser-based metrology projects
Profile
You are a motivated Engineer with either a MS or a Ph.D. in Physics or a relevant domain with proven experience in a similar field. Working in a multidisciplinary team has been one of your motivations. In addition, you bring the following knowledge:
