Role Summary
Verisign is looking for a Mid to Senior-level software engineer with a strong foundation in full-stack development to join the ODIN team. An ideal candidate is fluent in Java, has practical knowledge of databases, developed and deployed production-grade software, and is eager to learn as needed. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of product development including ideation, design, implementation, deployment, and issue resolution. This will usually imply cross‑team collaboration with Product, Engineering, Security and Operations.
Responsibilities
* Lead design, implementation, deployment, and issue resolution of production‑grade software.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Engineering, Security, Operations) to deliver high‑quality features.
* Own engineering processes, including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure provisioning.
* Participate in product planning, backlog grooming, and sprint execution using Scrum.
Qualifications
* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* 8+ years of Java coding experience in full‑stack production applications.
* Practical knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL), including schema design, queries, and performance tuning.
* Experience with Java code testing, test automation, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
* Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
* Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
* Experience with deployment automation, workflow automation, and DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform).
* Experience with caching solutions (Hazelcast) and containerization (Docker).
