Trust as our foundation, Curiosity as our compass, Excellence as our standard, we create lasting Impact for the people around us and our planet.Context & Mission :The Senior Visual Merchandising Designer is a key role responsible for bringing Maison L Occitane en Provence to life across global retail, pop-ups, events, and omnichannel experiences.Working within the Global Omnichannel team, you are responsible for the concepting and design of immersive consumer experiences across ephemeral and permanent VM, retail, and alignment across all physical touchpoints. You will partner closely with HQ cross functional teams, global regions and markets, as well as external agencies and suppliers, to deliver world-class brand experiences. You will be based in Geneva and report to the Head of Brand Experience.Responsibilities :1. Omnichannel & Experience- Lead global VM strategy for retail, events, pop-ups, and experiential projects with a strong focus on consumer journey and brand experience frameworks.- Combine physical, digital, and sensorial brand and product storytelling into cohesive, impactful retail environments.2. Visual Merchandising & Retail Design- Lead the design of permanent and seasonal VM (permanent VM systems, display fixtures, windows, in-store merchandising).- Create 2D/3D design assets including concept sketches, renderings, technical drawings, and guidelines.- Ensure designs are globally consistent while supporting regional needs.3. Pop-Ups, Events and Retail- Conceptualize and design immersive pop-ups, brand events, press/PR masterclasses, and retail activations.- Define customer flow, engagement moments, content zones, and experiential touchpoints.- Collaborate cross-functionally with Events, Retail, and Marketing to ensure concept alignment and execution.- Create clear, detailed briefs for external design agencies, and internal partners (purchasing teams, suppliers).- Manage external partners throughout concept development, design refinement, and production.- Review proposals from external vendors, ensuring alignment with brand standards, experience goals, and budget (Global).- Act as a key partner to regional and local VM teams.- Provide ongoing support during design and rollout, ensuring consistency and premium execution.- Coordinate all projects with procurement, and external partners regarding feasibility, sustainability, costing, and production timelines.- Oversee prototyping, mock-ups, and in-store testing to ensure quality and consumer impact.- Deliver comprehensive global guidelines, technical packs, and toolkits for regional teams.4. Innovation & Trend Leadership- Monitor global trends in beauty retail, experiential design, sustainability, and shopper engagement.- Explore and integrate new technologies (AR, digital screens, RFID, interactive tools) to enhance the customer experience.- Drive continuous improvement in design excellence and brand innovation.Profile you can fit :- 10 years experience in visual merchandising, retail design, experience design, or interior design with luxury retail experience (preferred beauty, skincare).- Strong portfolio showcasing retail systems, pop-ups, events, and immersive brand experiences (your application must include a complete portfolio).- Proficiency in 3D tools (SketchUp, Rhino, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max) and Adobe Suite.- Proficiency in AI design tools (Midjourney).- Fluent in English & French.- Experience managing external agencies, designers, and partners from concept to final execution.- Proven track record working with global markets and managing multi-market rollouts.- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, omnichannel experience design, and brand storytelling.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced HQ environment, balancing multiple high-priority projects.- Knowledge of sustainability principles in design and VM.- Interest in high-end retail technology and interactive experiences.What we offer :- As a Living Wage Certified employer, we guarantee all our practices meet or exceed established living wage and fairness standards.- We are committed to continuous learning and professional development to help every employee grow within our company.- Discount to use on all your favorite L Occitane en Provence products.- Parental leave policy.- Contribution to health insurance.- Permanent contract, full-time position (100%) with travel required.- Swiss residency.- Start date: asap.L Occitane en Provence is an equal opportunities employer.
