Compliance Transformation Manager (m/w/d) : CMMC/ NIST/ DFARS / project/ program management / Change Management/ Business Transformation / leadership and communication skills / English
Background:
Our Client, a leading provider of space components, is seeking a skilled Business Transformation Project Manager with a focus on compliance to drive our CMMC compliance initiative. This critical role will involve working closely with the CMMC Program Lead to ensure successful compliance and obtain the necessary CMMC Certification.
This critical role will ensure that business policies, processes and procedures reflect compliance with DFARS and CMMC, impact on people’s ways of working is mapped out and that people adequately adopt new ways of working.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Lead the transformation part of compliance with CMMC/ DFARS requirements – mapping data and process flow, setting up roles and responsibilities, propose new target operating model, propose new ways of working and update processes and SOPs, ensure that business documents (i.e. policies) are updated and adopted, and that people are trained
• Communicate and engage with stakeholders and users to ensure a seamless adoption to the compliance
• Align with IT and IS (information security) and support their activities (i.e. scoping)
• Lead Change Impact Assessments for users, business-wide
• Lead all training activities
• Ensure that facilities (sites) are compliant with the regulation
• Assume project management responsibility for the business transformation activities as a response to implement US regulation globally.
o Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure that our client is compliant with DFARS and CMMC from the business transformation perspective.
o Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
o Work closely with a Business Analyst, technical writer (updating policies), advisors on DFARS and CMMC, and partners in business to map out new processes that the DFARS and CMMC regulation are impacting.
o Work closely with an ERP team who is also creating business transformation to assure alignment, efficiency and no duplication of work.
o Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders across business and program, including engineering, manufacturing, project management, sales, procurement, IT, cybersecurity, legal.
• Work closely with the Program Lead and other workstreams to align project objectives with the overall CMMC program goals
Required Skills and Experience
• Knowledge of CMMC/ NIST/ DFARS
• Project Management Expertise: 15+ years of experience in project/ program management
• Change Management/ Business Transformation Expertise: 15+ years of experience in leading business transformation (focus on process management and people’s adoption)
• Experience with compliance and audits: experience with compliance projects and understanding how they impact existing business processes and policies, target operating model and business adoption
• Project Management Expertise: 15+ years of experience in project/ program management
• Experience of working in an engineering / manufacturing organisation
• Collaboration with IT: experience in working with IT and understanding of their various functionalities like infrastructure, network, applications, cloud
• Relationship building: Ability to create strong relationships with stakeholders
• Process Improvement: Proven experience in process improvement and policy implementation across various business functions from sales, procurement, engineering and manufacturing.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, develop contingency plans, and make informed decisions.
• Cross-Cultural Competence: Experience working in multicultural and international environments.
• Teamwork: Ability to lead and motivate teams, even those outside of their direct reporting structure.
• Remote working: This is a global role and people need to be able to work remotely and create relationships with colleagues in different time zones.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experience in the aerospace or other regulated industry
• Experience with working on a regulatory project where processes and policies had to be changed based on the new regulation
Some knowledge of cybersecurity
