About the Role
As a Junior Accountant (m/f/d), you support the Group Controlling & Accounting team and report directly to the Head of Group Controlling & Accounting. You ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions for four Swiss legal entities. Your work contributes to clean financial data, smooth month-end closing, and compliance with audit requirements in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices accurately and on schedule (Accounts Payable).
* Ensure timely payment cycles and compliance with internal controls.
* Review, verify, and post employee expense claims.
* Post daily bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
* Allocate and clear transit accounts, ensuring no outstanding items.
* Execute monthly intercompany balance reconciliations.
* Prepare intercompany confirmation letters for year‑end audit.
* Collaborate with internal teams such as Accounting, Controlling, HR, and Procurement.
* Communicate with external partners, including auditors and vendors.
* Identify discrepancies in transactions and elevate complex issues when required.
Qualifications
* Accounting experience in Accounts Payable, expense processing, bank postings or intercompany tasks and/or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a comparable qualification
* Good command of English (written and spoken)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Self‑starter with the ability to work independently
* SAP knowledge is an advantage
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally
