This internship offers deep exposure to real‑life commodity trading operations, hands‑on experience in procurement, data‑driven decision‑making, and supplier management within a high‑pressure and fast trading environment. /p pThe successful candidate will support strategic sourcing initiatives and take ownership of structuring, analysing and improving complex operational problems, directly contributing to cost efficiency, risk control, and supplier performance. /p pAs a Procurement Analyst Intern within TS Trading Operations, you will join a 30‑member Operations Technical Services (OTS) team supporting trading activities and actively preserving PnL in day‑to‑day operations. Maintain procurement documentation and ensure data consistency, reliability and traceability across tools. /li liConduct cost analysis, benchmarking and quantitative market intelligence exercises. /li liOversee service provider onboarding to ensure alignment with HSE, contracts, pricing structures and internal standards. /li liWork closely with Finance, Operations, Trading Desks, IT and Legal teams in a front‑office‑adjacent environment. /li liParticipate in analytical and data‑backed price negotiations with service providers. /li liRepresent TotalEnergies professionally and uphold the company’s image in all interactions. /li liProactively propose ideas to automate, simplify or redesign workflows and improve procurement tools. Candidates from top engineering schools (EPFL, Centrale, Mines, etc.) are particularly encouraged to apply. /li liStrong analytical and problem‑structuring mindset; you naturally think in systems, models and data. /li liDemonstrated interest in commodities markets, trading or trading operations. /li liPrior experience in data analysis, coding, optimisation, operations, logistics or quantitative modelling. /li liExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. /li liAdvanced proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools (Power BI). /li liProficiency in Python with the ability to prototype, automate and, when relevant, deploy solutions into real operational tools.
