Our client, a leading international player in the consumer goods industry with modern offices in the Zurich area, is looking for a Global Account Manager (m/f/d) to start immediately in a temporary assignment for the next 6-8 months.
Depending on motivation and performance, there might be an opportunity for extension.
Job Description
The Global Account Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing retailer inventory and orders, and leading new product introductions, by carrying out the following tasks:
1. Achieve sales targets with retailers across all regions and product lines.
2. Monitor and manage retailer inventory levels and orders to ensure accurate sales data.
3. Lead the new product introduction process, coordinating with marketing, commercial, and pricing teams to ensure timely product listings. Consolidate new products by region and align delisting strategies for key items.
4. Maintain strong collaboration and communication both internally and with retailers.
5. Partner with internal teams to accelerate and identify commercial opportunities.
6. Liaise with the customer service department to enhance operational efficiency and support other corporate projects.
7. Work closely with regional commercial teams to maintain a global overview of upcoming commercial and promotional offers.
8. Consolidate, track, and update trade marketing calendars for global accounts, working closely with regional leads and brand teams.
9. Generate monthly reports, conduct data analysis, and update, improve, and automate account dashboards.
10. Support the global client management team during major forums (Top-to-Top meetings, trade marketing meetings, annual negotiations).
11. Drive joint business planning with the key account team.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate should have:
1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience in account management within a global or regional context, preferably in retail or consumer goods.
3. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (for data analysis and dashboards).
4. Experience with SAP and CRM tools.
5. Strong English skills (verbal and written).
6. French language skills are an advantage.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing inventory, orders, and product launches.
9. Strategic thinking and ability to drive commercial activities and identify new business opportunities.
