We are seeking a solution-driven Automation Maintenance Engineer to support operations in a highly automated and regulated production environment.
Your Profile
You hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Maintenance, Automation, or Process Engineering and bring at least 3 years of hands‑on experience in automation or a demanding production setting.
You are recognized for your strong analytical mindset, ability to quickly resolve complex technical issues, and experience in technical support. You are also familiar with GMP documentation standards and have worked with controlled documentation.
Your Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as calibration of automated/semi‑automated systems, robotics, and laboratory equipment
Process Integrity & Documentation
* Ensure complete GMP‑compliant documentation of maintenance and modifications
* Create and update operational documentation (e.g., work instructions, maintenance procedures)
* Drive digital maintenance initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Industry 4.0 Development
* Contribute to smarter systems and predictive maintenance approaches
Coordination & Planning
* Manage spare parts and coordinate maintenance schedules with production and external partners
Troubleshooting (~30%)
* Provide first- and second‑level support for production and automation systems
* Analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently
GMP Compliance
* Maintain full lifecycle documentation of equipment according to GMP standards
Shift & On‑Call
* Work in a 2‑shift system and participate in occasional on‑call duties (max. 3 weekends per year)
Must‑Have Qualifications
* Degree or technical training in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Process Engineering, or similar
* 3+ years of experience in automation or production environments
* Strong troubleshooting skills in automated systems
* Familiarity with GMP documentation and regulated industries
* Fluent German (required); English (B2+) is a plus
* Willingness to work shifts and commute within 30–50 km of Rotkreuz
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
* Experience with process control systems / Industry 4.0 integration
* Knowledge of pneumatics and electrical engineering
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for maintenance planning
