About the Role
As a member of our team, you will operate, maintain, and develop the IPX signalling services and systems of Comfone. This includes implementing and managing signalling links, planning, routing, testing, documentation, and providing technical support to Comfone customers and peers.
* Enhance Comfone's IPX signalling network ensuring reliable performance and scalability.
* Proactively monitor the IPX signalling network and manage its capacity to ensure optimal performance and prevent issues before they impact service.
* Troubleshoot services and resolve technical incidents worldwide to minimize downtime and restore services efficiently.
You will also provide 2nd-level on-call duty support to internal and external parties.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A university degree or equivalent in the field of telecommunications, communication systems, or comparable with a very good understanding of Mobile Networks and protocols.
* Experience in operating STP, DRA, PGW, and HSS, as well as VAS platforms, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
* Deep knowledge of Mobile Network related protocols and technologies, including SS7/SIGTRAN, Diameter, GTP, and DNS, as well as signalling routing and roaming.
* Proficiency in Wireshark/tcpdump and other industry-standard tracing/monitoring tools.
* At least 5 years of professional experience in operating mobile networks or IPX.
* Knowledge of the 5G SA mobile network standards is a plus.
* Ability to script in Python, Linux shell, and SQL, with knowledge of Linux system is a plus.
